Use both conventional and CNC machining for finishing optics used for a variety experimental and production purposes.
This position will solve problems relative to materials, tools, work-holding arrangements, machine settings, product specifications, and fabrication methods for production processes, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, material properties, layout, and machining procedures. Consult with engineering and other personnel regarding device or tool information, such as design, capacity and purpose, and types of material to be used to shape and finish optics with precision and accuracy. Must understand written specifications, drawings, rough sketches, and verbal instructions to plan layout and determine sequences of operations. Verify conformance of parts to specifications, using measuring instruments. Evaluate experimental procedures and recommends changes or modifications for efficiency and adaptability to setup and production. May establish work procedures for fabricating new structural devices, using variety of machine tools.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
